Steve Koester (pictured) is Founder and Owner of Treeco Solutions. Holding himself to the highest ethical and moral standards in the practice of expert tree care, he is a New Jersey Board Licensed Tree Expert (License #668). Obtaining the highest professional arborist licensing in the state in the year 2017, Steve is also a Licensed Plant Health Care (PHC) Specialist (PEST #61973B).
Exhibiting his skill set in the art and science of diagnosing, treating and preventing tree injuries, Steve utilizes environmentally sensitive practices and treatments to improve the appearance, vitality and safety of a landscape.
Expert Tree Care
Steve’s membership to professional organizations, such as the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), demonstrate a commitment to his education by continuously broadening his knowledge and technical abilities whilst gaining new perspectives from fellow professionals within the tree care industry.
A family man, Steve is joined in the industry by his wife, Treeco Solutions Co-Founder and Administrator, Jaime Marie. Some notable attributes include Steve’s active volunteerism as a Firefighter in both Millstone Township and the City of South Amboy. He is also a student of aviation working towards his goal of becoming a fixed wing, leisure pilot.
The New Jersey Tree Care Law
In 2017, New Jersey passed licensing legislation 45:15C-12 (The Tree Expert/Operator Licensing Act) This law states that all tree care companies must be registered with the state of New Jersey, have at least one licensed individual working full-time, provide documented proof that they have administered proper safety training to their employees, and maintain a certain amount of insurance and workers compensation for Tree Care, not Landscaping.
